Journal of Biomedical and Environmental Health Technology (BIOHEALTH)

Journal of Biomedical and Environmental Health Technology (BIOHEALTH) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published semiannually in the fields of biomedical technology, medical informatics, and environmental health engineering.

Open Access Journal

All articles in the open-access journal published by Jurnal BIOHEALTH have undergone a peer-review process and, once accepted, are immediately and permanently available for free reading and download by anyone. Articles are available free of charge to readers because the Article Processing Charge (APC) is covered by the publisher, Al Insyirah Institute of Health and Technology (IKTA) Pekanbaru, as part of its commitment to open access to scientific knowledge.

Fast Publication

All articles undergo a rigorous peer-review process with a double-blind review system. Authors will be notified of the first decision approximately 42 days after submission; the time from acceptance to publication is 21 days. Accepted articles will be published online first to expedite the dissemination of research results.

Submit to the BIOHEALTH Journal

The BIOHEALTH Journal offers free article translation to support researchers in publishing high-quality research. Authors wishing to submit articles to the BIOHEALTH Journal should write articles in the range of 6-12 pages for research articles and 4-8 pages for review articles. In addition, the BIOHEALTH Journal provides free Indonesian and English editing services for authors whose articles are accepted for publication.

Focus and Scope

The BIOHEALTH Journal accepts research articles in three main domains:

Biomedical Engineering: Development of medical devices, biological sensors, patient monitoring systems, and diagnostic technologies.

Medical Informatics: Health information systems, digital health applications, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and clinical data analysis.

Environmental Engineering: Air treatment technology, medical waste management, air quality control, and environmental monitoring systems.

Publication Schedule

The BIOHEALTH Journal is published twice a year:

Issue I: June (submission deadline: May 30)
Issue II: December (submission deadline: November 30)

Access and Use

Readers can access all journal content through the online portal jurnal.ikta.ac.id/biohealth without registration or payment. All articles can be downloaded in PDF format and used for educational, research, and scientific development purposes, provided the appropriate website is cited.
