HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL KELUARGA DENGAN KESEPIAN YANG DIALAMI LANSIA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS NAN BALIMO

Loneliness is an unpleasant experience for individuals related to happiness that is not fulfilled by humans together for togetherness. So social support from the family is very necessary to help the elderly avoid feelings of loneliness and help increase their ability to survive adverse influences. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between family social support and loneliness experienced by the elderly in the Nan Balimo health center working area. This research design is Correlation with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The population in this study were elderly people who were in the working area of the Nan Balimo health center. This research was conducted from May - June 2024. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling with a sample size of 70 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire using social support and loneliness scales. The results of research data analysis using the Spearman range correlation technique show a correlation coefficient (r) = - 0.218 with p < 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between family social support and loneliness experienced by the elderly. After analyzing, researchers can draw conclusions that most elderly people experience moderate levels of loneliness. In this case the researchers divided the research results into three categories, namely high, medium and low. The result was that no elderly experienced loneliness at a high level, but 55 elderly experienced loneliness at a medium level and 15 elderly at a low
