PENGARUH PRENATAL YOGA TERHADAP KESEHATAN MENTAL IBU HAMIL PRIMIGRAVIDA TRIMESTER III DI PMB FITRI YANI KABUPATEN KAMPAR

Yoga is a healing method that has a positive influence on bodily health, psychology, feelings and reactions to the life we are living. The aim of the series of yoga exercises is to create balance of mind and body, body strength, calm, peace, preparing pregnant women physically, mentally and spiritually for the birthing process. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of prenatal yoga on the mental health of third trimester primigravida pregnant women at BPM Fitri Yani, Kampar Regency. The type of research used was quasy-experiment using a pretest-posttest design with the one group design. The population in the study were all primigravid pregnant women in the third trimester, 15 respondents with a sampling technique using total sampling. The research was carried out in April 2024. The research results showed that the majority of anxiety levels before prenatal yoga were in the moderate category (53%) and after prenatal yoga the majority were in the light category (10%). The results of the paired sample t-test analysis showed a p-value = 0.037 (pvalue < 0.05), so it can be concluded that the impact of prenatal yoga on the mental health of third trimester primigravida pregnant women in PMB Fitri Yani, Kampar Regency. It is hoped that midwives will provide material about prenatal yoga during counseling so that they can increase mothers' insight into prenatal yoga and increase mothers' knowledge about prenatal yoga
