Adolescence is a transition from childhood to adulthood. Physical, psychological, and social changes in adolescents remain a significant health issue. Anemia is a major health problem affecting Indonesia's adolescent generation. Anemia is a major nutritional problem, making it a top priority for prevention and management. An unhealthy lifestyle leads to a decreased intake of iron-rich foods. Implementation of anemia screening in schools, strengthening nutrition education, and administering iron supplements are integrated into health service programs. However, this program still faces challenges, such as low compliance among adolescent girls in consuming iron supplements due to a lack of knowledge about the benefits of iron supplements. Peer-group education and mentoring are conducted to improve adolescent compliance in consuming iron supplements. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of peer-group education and to improve adolescent girls' compliance in consuming iron supplements. Methods: This study used a Quasi-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The sample consisted of 11 anemic adolescent girls. The intervention was conducted once a week for eight weeks. Data analysis the level of compliance of adolescent girls in consuming iron tablets before and after the intervention using the dependent T test obtained a significant result of 0.001. Education with peer groups showed an effect on compliance in consuming iron tablets. Education with peer groups has been proven effective in increasing compliance of adolescent girls in consuming iron tablets. This intervention is expected to increase compliance in consuming iron tablets so that cases of anemia can be reduced.
