Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a disorder that occurs in kidney function, so hemodialysis is necessary to remove metabolic waste. where hemodialysis therapy has side effects, namely fatigue and patient self-care. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fatigue and self-care in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of RS-BLUD Tanjungpinang City. This Method used a Correlation study design with a Cros Sectional approach. The sampling technique used Purposive Sampling. A sample of 58 hemodialysis patients. Data collection tools used the FACIT Version-4 questionnaire and the Self Care of CKD Index. Results: The results of the Spearman Rank test with a p value of 0.001, r = 0.472 indicate a positive relationship with a moderate level of relationship strength. Conclusion: there is a relationship between fatigue and self-care in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. Suggestions for hemodialysis patients are to maintain and care for themselves as an effort to prevent adverse effects on health so that the quality of life is good and carry out daily activities properly.
