Abstract

Stunting is a serious growth disorder in toddlers that remains a challenge in Indonesia, including in Muara Enim Regency. The knowledge of Posyandu cadres is crucial in efforts to prevent stunting, so it is important to identify factors that influence this knowledge. The general objective of this study was to determine the factors related to the knowledge of Posyandu cadres regarding stunting prevention. The method used was quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, the population was all cadres who were still active, the number of samples was 50 cadres, the research instrument used a questionnaire and data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. In this study, The data obtained will be analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis to determine the relationship between the variables studied. The results of this study showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of education of cadres, work experience, frequency of training, access to information and support from the health center with knowledge about stunting prevention with each p-value ≤ 1,000. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable. This finding indicates that these factors do not directly affect the level of knowledge of cadres about stunting prevention, so further analysis is needed on other factors that may play a greater role in increasing knowledge. This study is expected to provide theoretical benefits for the development of science, as well as practical benefits for increasing the knowledge of posyandu cadres.
