Abstract

The implant is a hormonal contraceptive method placed under the skin of the arm that has a protection period of 3 to 5 years, and is very effective. In terms of effectiveness, the implant reaches 99.95%. The aim of this study was to determine the factors influencing the use of contraceptive implants. This research is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study is all Implant Contraceptive Acceptors at at Praktik Mandiri Bidan (PMB) Fatma Susanti's. The number of samples in this study was 30 respondents. The sampling technique used was random sampling. The analysis methods used for this research were univariate analysis (proportion) and bivariate analysis (chi-square test). The results of the analysis show that there is an influence of income factors (Pvalue = 0.001, OR = 13.3), Age (Pvalue = 0.005, OR = 0.59), Knowledge (Pvalue = 0.000, OR = 22.2), The dominant variable related to Implant Contraception is income. The analysis results obtained an Odds Ratio (OR) for the Age variable of 0.59, meaning that mothers at risk have a 0.59 times greater chance of using implant contraception. It is hoped that the results of this study will increase the active role of midwives in providing IEC and better knowledge about implant contraception
