Abstract

The role of nurses is very important in improving the quality of health services in Indonesia. Therefore, it is very important for nurses to have professional competence in all aspects of their work. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to the quality of nursing graduates from the College of Health Sciences (STIKes) in Pekanbaru City. The research method used was quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study included all lecturers from the nursing study program at Hang Tuah Pekanbaru, Al-Insyirah, and Payung Negeri in Pekanbaru City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which is a non-probability sample selected based on population characteristics and research objectives. the number of samples was 40 respondents. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents were women with 32 people (80%), 37 respondents (92.5%) had a master's degree in nursing, Based on the work unit data shows that 18 respondents (45%) came from STIKes Hang Tuah Pekanbaru, 18 people (45%) came from STIKes Payung Negeri, and 4 people (10%) came from STIKes Al Insyirah, the most expertise field is medical surgical nursing 14 people (35%), The most functional positions of respondents showed that 22 people (55%) were expert assistants, Based on certification there were 24 respondents (60%) who had lecturer certification, for the most years of service, namely 6-10 years 26 people (65%) while based on the lecturer credit score more than 18 people (45%).
