ANALISIS ASUPAN VITAMIN A, VITAMIN B12 DAN VITAMIN D DENGAN STABILITAS KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE II DALAM KONDISI KEGAWATDARURATAN

Diabetes Mellitus tipe II is a metabolic disease that causes unstable blood sugar levels such as hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, especially in emergency conditions. Blood sugar stability can be influenced by the adequacy of vitamins A, B12, and D, which play a role in metabolism, blood sugar, pancreatic function, and insulin sensitivity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the intake of vitamins A, B12, and D and blood sugar stability in diabetes mellitus tipe II patients in emergency conditions. The study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling technique with a sample size according to the inclusion criteria obtained 40 people. The vitamin assessment instrument used a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) questionnaire while the assessment of blood sugar levels used an observation sheet. The results of the Chi Square test showed a significant relationship between vitamin A, B12, and D intake and blood glucose stability (p <0.05) in diabetes mellitus tipe II patients. The conclusion of this study is that vitamin A, vitamin B12, and vitamin D intake is associated with blood sugar stability in patients with diabetes mellitus tipe II in emergency situations, so that meeting these vitamin intakes can support blood sugar management. It is recommended that patients with diabetes mellitus tipe II balance their intake of vitamins A, B12, and D through a balanced diet and regular check-ups with health care providers.
