PENGARUH AKTIVITAS BERKEMAH DI ALAM TERBUKA TERHADAP TINGKAT STRES BERDASARKAN PERSPEKTIF TIPE KEPRIBADIAN

High stress levels among university students due to academic and social demands have become a serious mental health issue that requires proper attention. This study aimed to analyze the effect of outdoor camping activities on students’ stress levels based on their personality types, namely introvert and extrovert, at the Institut Kesehatan dan Teknologi Al Insyirah. With the increasing stress among students, particularly during academic processes, this research focused on nature-based interventions as a method of stress management. This was a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, consisting of six fifth-semester nursing students, including three introverts and three extroverts. Data were collected using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) to measure stress levels and the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) to identify personality types, both before and after the camping activity. The analysis showed a significant reduction in stress levels following the camping intervention, with an average score decrease of 4.67 among introverted students and 4.33 among extroverted students. The t-test yielded a p-value < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference in stress levels before and after the camping activity. These findings suggest that camping is effective as a stress management strategy for students. The study recommends that educational institutions integrate outdoor activities into student mental well-being programs.
