POLA PEMBERIAN MAKAN DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BAYI (6-24) BULAN DI PUSKESMAS BABIRIK

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a nutritional problem that occurs as a result of malnutrition over a long period of time. According to WHO Child Growth Stunting Standards are based on the index of body length compared to age (PB/U) or height compared to age (TB/U) with a limit (z-score) of less than 2-SD. Feeding parenting is the ability of parents and families to provide time for attention and support in providing food to their children. Objective: To determine parenting patterns and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 06 – 24 months in the Babirik Community Health Center UPT working area. Method: quantitative analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted in the working area of ​​the UPT Babirik Community Health Center. With a population of mothers who have stunted toddlers and samples were taken using the purposive sampling method. The population in this study were mothers who had stunted toddlers. as many as 30 people. Data were analyzed using the Fisher Exact test. Results: The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting in infants/toddlers aged 6-24 months (p=0.007).
