Abstract

Prevalence of anemia has highest case in Indonesia. The study aimed to determine the relationship nutrition status upper arm circumference (LILA) with hemoglobin (Hb)levels in birthing women. This study uses a cross sectional approach.. the study was 43 responden with total sampling technique. Location of the research was at Rosita’s PMB in Pekanbaru. Data was collected by measuring LILA using LILA tape qnd Hb levels using easy touch. Data was analyzes bu using Chi Square test (p<0,5). Low LILA has 5 times risk for anemia (OR=5,11, 95% CI: 1,28-20,49). There is a relationship LILA with hemoglobin levels of birthing women (p<0,05). LILA is the one of indicator nutritional status of birthing women, if it is below standard (<23,5), there is a risk of anemia
