HUBUNGAN TINGKAT STRES DENGAN SIKLUS MENSTRUASI PADA REMAJA PUTRI KELAS XI DI SMA NEGERI 3 SAMPIT

Abstract

Background of Study : Reproductive health is an important aspect that needs to be considered in adolescents who often experience premenstrual syndrome, menstrual cramps, and menstrual disorders, it can lead to issues with sexual and reproductive health if improperly managed (Amalia Ilmy Nurul et al., 2023). Menstrual cycle abnormalities are influenced by a number of factors, such as stress levels, physical activity levels, and phytoestrogen consumption (Fifi Ishak et al., 2022). Purpose to ascertain in 2024 the association between menstrual cycle and stress levels among teenage girls in class XI at SMA Negeri 3 Sampit. Cross-sectional methodology and quantitative analytical techniques are used in this study. Random sampling was used to take samples. The research sample comprised 59 female students in class XI at SMA Negeri 3 Sampit in 2024. The analytical tool employed, along with an additional test that makes use of Fisher's exact test. Based on the results of Fisher's exact test, the menstrual cycle and stress levels in class XI teenage females at SMA Negeri 3 Sampit in 2024 are related. The significant value ρ value ≤ 0.05 is 0.014. The level of stress in teenage girls affects the menstrual cycle experienced, meaning that the level of stress will affect the menstrual cycle to be irregular, setting a good setress pattern in adolescents is the best solution to avoid the occurrence of irregular menstrual cycles
