HUBUNGAN ANTARA BEBAN KERJA FISIK DENGAN KELELAHAN KERJA PADA PEKERJA PABRIK TAHU (DI KECAMATAN MENGANTI)

Work-related fatigue is a health issue that can reduce productivity, impair concentration, and increase the risk of workplace accidents, particularly in industries that require high levels of physical activity and manual labor. At a tofu factory located in Menganti District, the production process is still carried out traditionally through five main steps: soaking soybeans, grinding, cooking, molding, and cutting the tofu. This process is performed repeatedly, which risks increasing physical workload and causing fatigue. This study aims to examine the relationship between physical workload and work-related fatigue among workers at a tofu factory in Menganti Subdistrict. The method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional design, involving 93 respondents selected via simple random sampling. Data were collected by measuring work heart rate using the Cardiovascular Load (CVL) method and distributing a questionnaire from the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC). Data were analyzed using Kendall’s Tau test. The findings indicated that 52.7% of the workers were classified in the moderate physical workload category, while 50.5% were identified as experiencing a moderate level of work fatigue. Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant association between physical workload and work fatigue. Based on these findings, tofu factory owners are encouraged to implement more effective rest arrangements and work organization strategies to help manage physical workload and reduce the risk of excessive fatigue
