ESTIMASI NILAI DOSIS PADA PEMERIKSAAN CT-SCAN KEPALA NON-KONTRAS BERDASARKAN NILAI CTDIVOL DAN DLP

The Diagnostic Reference Level (DRL) is a standard used to prevent patients from being exposed to excessively high radiation doses. No evaluation of radiation doses from non-contrast head CT scans has ever been conducted at PKU Muhammadiyah General Hospital in Bantul. This study aims to determine the CTDIvol and DLP values and to evaluate their compliance with the Indonesian Diagnostic Reference Level (I-DRL). This descriptive quantitative study involved 106 non-trauma cases selected using purposive sampling. Data were obtained from dose reports containing CTDIvol and DLP values, as well as patient characteristics and examination parameters. IBM SPSS Statistics version 27 was used to determine the mean, median, and third quartile (Q3) through descriptive statistical analysis. The Q3 value was compared with the I-DRL. This study showed a CTDIvol value of 53.20 mGy. Meanwhile, the mean and median DLP values were 1098.41 mGy·cm and 1108.00 mGy·cm, respectively, with a Q3 value of 1134.60 mGy·cm. These values meet safety standards, as they do not exceed the limits set by BAPETEN, namely a CTDIvol of 60 mGy and a DLP of 1275 mGy·cm. Without compromising the quality of the diagnostic images produced, the radiation dose for non-contrast head CT scans at PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul General Hospital was successfully reduced to levels that do not exceed the specified dose limits.
