PERBEDAAN ASUPAN ZAT GIZI, KEBERAGAMAN PANGAN DAN STATUS GIZI SISWA PENERIMA MBG DAN BOARDING SCHOOL

Adolescent nutritional problems due to inadequate nutrient intake and lack of dietary diversity remain a public health issue in Indonesia. One effort that can be made is through the implementation of school meal programs. This study aimed to compare nutrient intake, dietary diversity, and nutritional status between students receiving the MBG program and boarding school students. An analytic observational study with a cross-sectional was conducted on 90 subjects selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements, 2x24-hour food recall, IDDS questionnaire, and analyzed using Independent T-Test and Mann-Whitney test. The results showed significant differences in lunch intake of energy, protein, and carbohydrate, as well as dietary diversity between groups (p<0.05). Meanwhile, no significant differences were found in daily energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrate intake, lunch fat intake, and nutritional status between groups (p>0.05). Collaboration with nutritionists are needed to improve program effectiveness.
